Andrew Jones hits a pair of career milestones in Walled Lake United regular season finale
Walled Lake Western senior, Andrew Jones, had a night to remember on the lacrosse field on Friday in Walled Lake United’s regular season finale win over Novi hitting a pair of big-time career milestones.
In the first quarter, Jones won the face off and ran down the field to score his second goal of the evening and the 100th goal of his high school career. Jones finished the game with four goals and two assists.
Jones went a perfect 17 for 17 at the face off x as well. In the third quarter, he also notched his 500th career faceoff win. This season, Jones has won an incredible 86 percent of his face offs.
Walled Lake United finished the regular season 12-3 overall with the 17-0 shutout of Novi. They’ll host Lakes Valley Conference rival Huron Valley at Walled Lake Northern on Friday night in the first round of regionals. Face off is set for 6 p.m.
