The Walled Lake Consolidated Schools’ Board of Education appointed Amy Pashak the new principal at Walled Lake Western High School during its July 24, 2024 special meeting.

“It is with great enthusiasm that I join this well-respected high school,” said Pashak. “I look forward to serving the students, staff, and families of the Walled Lake Western community.”

Pashak comes from Fowlerville Community Schools, where she served as the principal at Fowlerville High School and Fowlerville Online Learning Academy for the past two years. Prior to arriving in Fowlerville, Pashak spent eight years as an assistant principal at Howell High School’s freshmen campus. Pashak also has more than a decade of experience in the classroom. She began her career as a high school social studies teacher. A role she held for 16 years.

“As I step into my new role as Walled Lake Western’s principal, I am committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where every student can thrive,” said Pashak. “I want to emphasize my commitment to being present, available, and visible within our school community."

“I am eager to engage with students, staff, and families to build strong relationships and foster a supportive environment where everyone feels heard and valued,” continued Pashak. “I will be an accessible and approachable leader who is dedicated to understanding the unique needs of our school and working collaboratively towards our shared goal of academic excellence for a global society.”

“Amy has demonstrated exceptional leadership in her prior leadership roles at the secondary level,” said Dr. Michael Lonze, Superintendent of Schools. “With 16 years of teaching experience, Amy brings a deep understanding of education and a commitment to student success. We are confident that her expertise and dedication will greatly benefit our community.”
